Product Description
The Trillium Seedpod is an exquisite handmade urn which will hold a small portion of cremation ashes. It is ideal if you are intending to scatter the ash remains or have them placed in a memorial location, but still wish to have some ashes kept in your home.
Each Trillium Seedpod is a one off design due to the nature of the wood, no two seedpods will be exactly alike however the image displayed above will give you a close idea of the final result.
The Seedpods are crafted by master woodturner Jack de Vos in his studio and are made from Sheoak.
She-oak colour range is golden orange to red-orange to nearly burgundy. She-oak grows primarily in a small area on the south coast of Southwest Western Australia. Trees with a "lace" appearance are very rare- about 1 in 100 trees.
Urns are able to be crafted of the rarer "Lace" Sheoak at a slightly higher cost (please select the option above when ordering)
All pieces are mounted on a black plinth. The urn is bottom loading but still looks open at the top end.
