Our ceramic cremation urns are exclusively handmade in Poland. Our shapes, colours or motifs are inspired by designs in nature. Selected ingredients are mixed in order to create the ceramic material. Urn shapes are created followed by the enamelling process. Some designs include a ceramic heart or ceramic flame symbol attached. During the enamelling process those symbols are covered with real platinum gold ceramic paint.

These ceramic urns have a matching lid in the base and can be sealed using the appropriate ceramic epoxy (supplied with your purchase). Alternatively the ashes can be placed inside within a velvet or satin bag etc and not sealed.

Due to ceramic urns being hand made and fired, colour shades and patterns may vary slightly. Each urn is unique and no two will be identical.

This size urn may also be used as a companion urn (urn for two) in some circumstances. Check with your funeral director if both lots of ashes are enough to fit in a 5 litre urn.

What Size Urn Do I Need?

The standard capacity of a single adult urn should be approximately 3 litres.

Cremain quantities may vary due to differing techniques by crematoriums. Not all processes are identical and other factors may require allowances. If exact capacity of an urn is required we recommend you ask your crematorium or funeral director for precise information.

The capacity of a cremation urn relates more accurately to a loved one's height, sex, and age rather than body weight. The elderly and most children would need a smaller urn for ashes than a fully grown adult, regardless of their weight. There are exceptions such as varying cremation methods and some physical factors, but most adult's ashes will fit within an urn of 3.0 litre capacity or greater.
